a car show in Detroit

I went to Detroit because my friend got a visa for Canada. It took an hour and half to Detroit. I’ve been to Detroit before, but only the airport. Detroit is well-known for cars. At the same time, a car show took place there. We could see many kinds of cars and have fun with food and music and games.

These below are cars displayed at the car show. I don’t have a driving license, so I really don’t know about car well. Even if I don’t know about car, I could really enjoy. The cars looked so cool. We could get in some cars and take pictures. I haven’t been interested in cars until I saw the car show, but I get to want a nice car. People drive on the left in the US, but people drive on the right in Japan. I’m thinking to take a driving license in Japan and buy a nice car.

ALI

Hello everyone! This is about a picnic of ALI on June 21th. We went to the park. it was a big and nice park. We played soccer, baseball, etc… I rode on a swing. I hadn’t ridden a swing for a long time, so I had a great time! And then, I played baseball. I hadn’t played baseball for a long time either. After playing them, we had lunch our teachers brought. At first, it was nice whether, but it started storming around 2p.m. We had just finished lunch at the time. We left food and went home immediately. Sorry teachers.

She is Ms. Betty’s-our teacher’s dog. She is clever. The park is also the good place to walk a dog. I wanted to take my dog from Japan…. I miss her.

I put information about three kinds of cellphone above. All of them have big screens. iphone and i-mate have full screens, but Nokia N95 has a little bit smaller than theirs. chellphones which have big screen are getting more recently because it’s easier to see letter. The full screen can be made by making the design slide system or turn system. We can also see pictures taken by these cellphones widely and clearly. iphone have 2 Mega Pixels, Nokia N95 have 5 Mega Pixels, and i-mate has 1.3 Mega Pixels. This means pictures taken by Nokia N95 are most clear.

And then, all of them have internet. It’s really convenient. Some people carry their laptops with them, but it’s quite heavy to carry everyday. These cellphone size is best to carry with us everyday. It’s possible to put a pocket. We can check e-mails whenever we want. Only iphone out of these I put information above can be operationed with a finger without a pen by touching a screen. iphone displays rich HTML email which we can search other writing concerned with a part of electronic writing and works with the most popular email system.

sustainability

“sustainability ” means to sustain using resources without destruction of environment. We have used various resources for our lives in comfort, however, it’s reality that as our lives hes been getting more comfortable , we have been destroying environment. For example, we heve deforested to built our houses, in addition, we use a lot of electricity. We need to think about more environment and what we need minimum.

My name is Jay Shafer and since 1997 I have been living in a house smaller than some people’s bathrooms. I call the first of my little hand built houses Tumbleweed (top left). My decision to inhabit just 100 square feet arose from some concerns I had about the impact a larger house would have on the environment, and because I do not want to maintain a lot of unused or unusable space. My houses have met all of my domestic needs without demanding much in return. The simple, slower lifestyle my homes have afforded is a luxury for which I am continually grateful.

There are some ways which we can reduce useless resources. One is “Tiny Home”. The information above is for “Tiny Home”. The reason why the tiny home is the way which we can reduce resources is that we don’t need a lot of trees and electricity by comparison with a big home. If we live in a small house, we need to use electricity only for small spaces. For example, we need to warm up and cool down only small spaces. In fact, we don’t use every rooms.

The other is “Earthship”. It is a house which is used natural sources, such as sunbeams. You can see big windows on the picture above. The reason why the big windows were put in the house is that we can use natural light from the sun. We can reduce some problems by using solar system, such as global warming.

A lot of sources are used in our lives more than we really need. Our lives have been more convenient, but we need to live with nature, therefore, We need to use these ideas more, and our environment will be much better.

This picture was drawn by a Japanese artist. This picture is the most famous one from a lot of his works. The way to drawing has developed since the Edo period. It’s called “ukiyoe”. They are Japanese genre, but he also learned a lot of kinds of art including Western paintings. When I went to NYC, I saw his works of art at an art museum, and bought some post card of his works of art including this picture. That’s so cool!! The mountain which you can see on this picture is the most highest mountain called “hujiyama” in Japan.

Tokyo Guidance

I showed my American friends to Tokyo in last break. This is my first time to show Tokyo. First, we went to a park which was on a TV drama. He likes the TV drama, so he wanted to go there. Sumo “Japanese sport” took place at the place. Then, we went to the food stadium where we could eat a lot of kinds of dumplings, ice cream, and cakes! we chose three kinds of dumplings. One was with shrimps, the other was with cheese, and the other was normal one. He had eaten dumplings before, and it is his favorite food, but she had never eaten dumplings. She said “It’s dericious!!”. After that, we ate ice cream. He chose a crepe with strawberry. We chose a green tea ice cream. Mine was from Turkey and like a taffy. It was good.

Then, we went to another park which is famous in Japan, and a lot of foreigner visit. We saw a lot of kinds of animals there and took the pictures with them. I wanted to see panda, but we didn’t see it because we were tired. Tokyo is so busy city, in addition, the weather was so hot! At the last, I took them to an Internet cafe to rest(*_*;) I hope they enjoyed Tokyo!

I love this music!! This music video is from a movie ”Rent”. I saw this movie in Japan. I had wanted to see this movie because I had loved this song since I listened this music on TV. This movie started with this song. I cryed at the bigining of this movie(;_;) I was moved so much because everyone on this movie were a good singer!! I have the CD. Another reason why I chose this music Video is that the place was NYC! I wrote about my visit in NYC.

With My Friend

I was invited to a party which my conversation partner holded. The party took place at her sister’s house. She is interested in Japan, so a lot of Japanese furniture were at her home. Her room was so cute!They cooked for us. The food was also cute. My friend borrowed a cooking book from her. I will try to cook it too.After dinner, we played a TV game(the Nintendo Wii). We played tennis and golf on the game. It was very interesting. I will absolutely buy the Nintendo Wii when I get back to Japan!!

The picture below is her bard. His name is “Dolson”. I don’t know the spelling and male or female also. I will ask her next time!!but I will type “he” now. He spoke! It’s amazing!! He said “Dolson” and “Hi”. So cute. And he raised his wings sometimes. It was beautiful. The back of his wings are yellow. He likes popcorn.

NYC

I went to NYC last December with my friends. This is my first visit in NYC. I took a bus there. It took about 14 hours from Toledo to NYC. I was so tired. I will never take a bus from Toledo to NY! We rent an apartment, so the cost was cheaper. I stayed there for 5 days. I could enjoy Christmas in NYC! First, I went to a hair salon in SOHO to change my hair color because I had wanted to change my hair color for a long time. I’m Asian. My hair is different from American’s, so I was thinking to go to a hair salon where Japanese worked. My friend recommended me the hair salon. Two Japanese worked there. My hair got really nice! Maybe i will go there again.

NYC at night was different from in the daytime, but even if midnight, The number of people was the same as in the daytime. NYC is always busy…. We saw an ice skating show which many girls danced. After that, we went to a Japanese restraunt to have dinner. I forgot the name of the town where the restaurant was. A lot of Japanese restaurant were there. We saw two policemen who were on horses on the way to home.

We went to the Doll’s museum where a lot of famouse people’s dolls(musicians, presidents, athletes,etc…). The dools looked very
natural!! We took a lot of pictures with the dools there.

Of couse we went to the Statue of Liberty and the Empire State, but we couldn’t be near the Statue of Liberty because the ship to go there was already finished(;_;), and we couldn’t go up the Empire State because the weather was so bad….so I couldn’t take the pictures. Maybe next time!!
